Formatting text in questions

When creating new questions or editing existing ones in Cognexo, there are a range of text and character features that you can use.

The formatting icons can be used on both the main question and the explanation and are found at the top of the text boxes

As mentioned, the formatting features work on new and existing questions.

To amend an existing question, find the question in Topics & Questions

  • Click on Edit Question
  • Click on Split in the right-hand corner

You will then see two versions of the question.

Left:     The editable text

Right:  What the question will look like on Cognexo

After making changes (see below) to the left and reviewing them on the right, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Save Changes

On the right in the example below, the words ‘most important’ are in bold text.

To do this,

  • Highlight the words you want in bold on the left
  • Click on B in the icons bar

In the live version of the question that users will see, the words most important will be in bold:

Using the same method, you can use the other icons to format text

You can also put key words into italics (I)

 

Create text as a Heading (H)

Strikethrough (S)

Cognexo can highlight a Quote

Add a hyperlink (Link)

Create a List

Create a Numbered list

Add additional information (Tasks)

Add a customisable Table

Create a neat line between sections (Rule)
