Before making changes to a question that's already live, it's worth understanding the difference between editing it directly and cloning it first. This article walks through how to clone a question and why doing so is usually the safer approach.
How to clone a question
Navigate to Topic & Questions and select the topic containing the question you'd like to clone. Select the relevant question, then select Edit question. From here, click Clone question — this will suspend the original question and take you to the newly cloned version. You can then edit the clone, including its answer options, without affecting any historical data already recorded in the platform.
Once the question has been cloned, make the necessary amendments. Ensure to activate the question afterwards so it can begin circulating to users.
