Cognexo User Guide

This guide provides users with clear, step-by-step instructions on how to use Cognexo and complete their daily questions. It explains how to access the platform, email notifications, submit answers, and resolve any issues that may occur during the process.

Before you start

Before you begin, ensure you have access to your work emails and that your Cognexo account has been registered. If you are unable to access your account or have not yet been registered, please contact your line manager or support team for assistance with setting this up.

 

Step-by-step instructions

1. Read your email notification

Every morning you will receive an email notification to inform you that your questions are ready to be completed. The email will let you know how many questions require your response and will include a direct link to the Cognexo portal, making it quick and easy to access your questions.

2. Sign in to Cognexo

Access the Cognexo platform directly through the link provided in your daily email. If needed, you can also use a link from a previous email. No username or password is required, making it quick and easy to access your daily questions and stay on track with your learning journey.

3. Find your assigned questions

Once you click the link in the email, you will be directed straight to the questions page. Here, you can view the current question on the left-hand side of the screen and see how many questions you still have left to answer. The answer options will always appear on the right-hand side.

Depending on the question type, you may need to select one answer or multiple answers before moving on.

 

After selecting an answer option, it will be highlighted in green and marked with a tick to confirm your selection.

The Submit Answer button will then turn green, indicating that your response is ready to be submitted.

 

After submitting your answer, the system will indicate whether your response was correct or incorrect. Each question also includes a brief explanation to help you understand the correct answer and provide additional context. 

You will then be able to move onto the next question.

Once you have answered the final question, a Go to Dashboard button will appear. Clicking this button will take you to your personalised PQE dashboard, where you can view your progress and performance.

Leaving feedback on questions

Users can provide feedback on all questions they receive, whether its positive or negative. All feedback is valuable as it helps us improve the quality of future questions.

To leave feedback, you must first answer the question in Cognexo. Once the question has been submitted, a “Click here to leave feedback” link will appear below the answer explanation.

You will then be able to state whether you liked or disliked the question. 

You can provide free-text comments for all feedback options. This feedback is then sent to the relevant topic owner, who can review the responses and make any necessary amendments to the questions.


PQE Dashboard

Once users have answered all questions in their stack, they are then able to view their Post Question Experience (PQE) dashboard. This is a personalised dash where you can view your streak, track your position/rank on each topic leader board and book leave in the system.

Common issues and troubleshooting

I did not receive an email

  • Check your junk or spam folder first. If the email is still missing, confirm that your work email address is correct and ask your line manager to 'Re-send Question Reminder'

I cannot log in

  • No username or password is required to access Cognexo, making it simple for users to stay engaged and access their learning without the hassle of remembering login credentials.

Who do I contact if I need help

  • In the first instance, please contact your line manager. If further support is required, they will be able to follow the appropriate steps to get in touch with the Cognexo Support team.
