Overview
Cognexo's AI-powered content generation tools make it easy to create high-quality training questions and content. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining existing material, there are four distinct ways to leverage AI in your question-building workflow.
Method 1: Interactive AI Question Builder
The AI question builder is your starting point for brainstorming questions on any topic.
How to use it:
- Navigate to the AI question builder
- In the message prompt at the bottom (where it says "type your message"), enter your request
- Ask questions like:
- "Give me five questions on GDPR"
- "I'm thinking of GDPR as a topic. Give me some ideas for questions"
- The AI will coach you through the process, helping you refine and develop the best questions
The chat acts as an intelligent coach, guiding you toward creating more effective training questions.
Add Knowledge Base Files to Your Conversation
Enhance your AI question generation by uploading source documents directly to the chat.
How to use it:
- While in the AI question builder chat, click the knowledge base toggle
- Upload one or more files:
- Company policies
- Process documents
- PDFs
- Training slide decks
- Any relevant source material
- Talk directly to these files—individually or all together
- The AI will analyze your documents and coach you toward extracting the best possible questions
This approach is ideal when you want to ensure your training questions align with your organization's specific policies, processes, or content.
Method 3: Generate Questions Within a Topic
Create AI-suggested questions that automatically incorporate the context of your current topic.
How to use it:
- Open the Topics section in the Cognexo admin portal
- Select your desired topic (e.g., AI Literacy, Anticompetitive Behavior, Conflicts of Interest)
- Go to the Questions tab
- Click Generate Questions (top right)
- Review the suggestions and add the ones you want to your topic
By working within a specific topic, the AI understands the context and suggests questions that are relevant and on-brand for that training area.
Method 4: Build Alternative Versions of Existing Questions
Transform a single question into multiple formats to provide learners with different perspectives on the same concept.
How to use it:
- Select a question you want to expand
- Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the question
- Select Build Alternatives
- The AI will generate three alternative versions of your question
These alternatives may:
- Change the question format (true/false → multiple choice → "all which apply")
- Rephrase the question to emphasize different angles
- Adjust the context or scenario while maintaining the core learning objective
Example:
- Original question: "Which type of error is relatively common in AI-generated text?"
- Alternative 1: "When using AI-generated content, what types of inaccuracy should users be most concerned about?"
- Alternative 2: "A student relies on AI to write a research paper but doesn't verify the sources cited. What's the primary risk they face?"
- Alternative 3: "What distinguishes AI-generated text from human writing in terms of accuracy?"
By offering multiple framings of the same question, learners gain a broader understanding and can demonstrate mastery from different angles.
